Solved Cards Stacking

    Does 4 cards stack? I mean.. like 4 hydra.. 4 AK cards..

    Yeah. If i remember properly first and second card effect are applied like in the description. Third and fourth are less % that the original (always talking about the same card, ofc).

    For example in a knife[4]:

    1º Hydra: 20%
    2º Hydra: 20%
    3º Hydra: 10%
    4º Hydra: 5%

    I'm not sure about % but something like that.

    The most common card factors.

    Race - Hydra, Peco Peco Egg
    Element - Drainlar, Orc Skeleton, etc.
    Size - Desert Wolf, Skeleton Worker, Minorous
    Boss/Non Boss - Turtle General, Abyssmal Knight, Valkyrie Randgris.

    There are other cards that do special things, but try to put them in your combo to improve your damage.


    To determine the damage output of your card combo, just follow these formula:


    a * b * x * y = % Increase Damage

    You should use the formula that I stated above. Hydra Card is 1.20 or 1.2 since it is 20% more damage. But if you use 4 hydras or 3 This combo is not advisable, because the result of stack is 180 % but (100% is your original damage). For this reason you might want just to use 2 of them for every weapon.

    SantaPoring +20% Shadow prop

    x3 Hydra + x1 Santa == (1.2 + 1.2 + 1.2) * 1.2 == 1.6 * 1.2 == 1.92 or +92% damage
    x2 Hydra + x2 Santa == (1.2+1.2) * (1.2 + 1.2) == 1.4 * 1.4 == 1.96 or +96% damage

    to the 3 people above, you're all sort of correct but not exactly.. its funny that RO has been around for like 13-14 years and this is still the most commonly debated question I see.We'll start with a little user friendly guide I made :

    Let's say we start off with 100% damage (ignoring the weapon type & size modification table)

    Scenario 1 (To Show Basic Damage Formula):
    [Player Y] Uses a Hydra Card that increases damage to 120 % on [Player X]
    [Player Y]Uses a Skeleton Worker Card in the same weapon that increases damage to 115 % on [Player X]
    [Player Y] Does 120% * 115% = 138% DMG to [Player X]

    Scenario 2 (To Show How Multiple Hydra's Stack):
    [Player Y] Uses 2 Hydra Cards & 1 Skeleton Worker Card to Attack [Player X]
    [Player Y] Does 140% * 115% = 161% DMG to [Player X]

    Where people tend to get confused is how the damage % stacks compared to the damage bonus it gives, and it all lays within the script of the actual cards itself, Example ;

    Hydra ( bonus2 bAddRace,RC_DemiHuman,20 ) means Hydra damage stacks additionally (i.e 20,40,60...)
    Skeleton Worker ( bonus2 bAddSize,1,15 ) means Skel Worker Damage Stacks by Multiplying it against the other cards effect
    Turtle General ( bonus2 bAddRace,RC_NonBoss,20; bonus2 bAddRace,RC_Boss,20 ) implies a bonus 20% damage to all races effect so it's % doesn't stack with Hydra's 120% to Demi Human its completely seperate.

    Scenario 3 (How To Maximize Damage)

    3 Slotted Weapon :
    3x Hydra Card = 160% Damage [120%+120%+120%]
    2x Hydra Card 1x Skeleton Worker Card = 161% Damage [(120%+120%)*115%]
    2x Hydra Card 1x Turtle General Card = 168% Damage [(120%{To Demi Human}+120%{To Demi Human})*120%{To Non-Boss}
    1x Hydra Card 1x Turtle General Card 1x Skeleton Worker Card = [120%{To Demi Human}*120%{To Non-Boss}*115%] = 165.6% Damage

    4 Slotted Weapon :
    4x Hydra Card = 180% Damage [120%+120%+120%+120%]
    3x Hydra Card 1x Skeleton Worker Card = 184% Damage [(120%+120%+120%)*115%]
    2x Hydra Card 2x Skeleton Worker Card = 182% Damage [(120%+120%)*(115%+115%*)]
    3x Hydra Card 1x Turtle General Card = 192% Damage [(120%{To Demi Human}+120%{To Demi Human}+120%{To Demi Human})*120%(To Non-Boss)
    2x Hydra Card 2x Turtle General Card = 196% Damage [(120%{To Demi Human}+120%{To Demi Human})*(120%{To Non-Boss}+120%{To Non-Boss})
    2x Hydra Card 1x Turtle General Card 1x Skeleton Worker Card = 193.2% Damage (120%{To Demi Human}+120%{To Demi Human}*120%(To Non-Boss)*115%]

    So as i understood same bonuses (Deviace and Hydra bAddRace,RC_DemiHuman) will be added: 20+7? Or only 2 same card are add bonuses and Deviace and Hydra bonuses will be multiplied?

    Yes that's correct, if the effect of the script is the same you just add it together. So Hydra + Deviace ; (120% + 107% = 127% Damage to Demi-Human.

    you're welcome, I wouldn't mind re-writing and cleaning it up a little bit if you wanted to pin it as a seperate topic? I think it would be rather beneficial for the many new to RO player's i've seen on the server so far.
